Unfolding slowly over a simmering, swirling drone of accordion, trumpet, guitar, and bass, chamber pop septet Sister Species' new single "Cottonwood Trees" is a meditative exploration of memory & loss. Both personal and ambiguously archetypical, Kastrul's unplaceable yet familiar melody travels across things that return, like seasons, and things that are gone forever. In the end we are left with the fleeting summer snow: the cottonwood trees in the June breeze.

If you can, get comfortable and put on your nicest headphones for this 6 minute bath of sound.
